Host device on the PA
A Bluetooth speaker at the jetty, the clubhouse system, marquee sound over a jack lead or AirPlay — all fine. After that the device can go back in your pocket: the music keeps playing.
Print the posters and put them up
Tap “Print QR code”, send the A4 PDF to the printer. The posters belong where people wait and stand: at the bar, on the high tables, by the grill, at the cake stall. And one at the entrance.
Set the frame, open the screen
Set the blocklist and the fair-use rules before the first request comes in, add the club crest, then drag the screen view onto the display above the dance floor. From here it runs without you.
What to watch out for.
- Announce it beforehand. One line in the newsletter or the club group chat saying that this time everyone gets a say. People who already know scan on arrival instead of at eleven.
- Use the helpers' party as a dry run. A small, private gathering is the ideal first outing: you see how guests react before the summer fête is on the line.
- One name, one device. Decide in advance who hosts. That person holds pause, volume and Auto DJ — guests only see what is playing and cannot change anything.
- Plan for speeches and awards. Turn it down or pause before the prize-giving. You do that as the host, and the queue simply waits.
- Club parties run long. Among the events that have already run on Juqed Go, the club ones ran the longest. A power bank for the host device is worth having.
