The hurdle is always at the start.
Ask your guests to install an app for two song requests and you lose half of them on the store page. The other half find the app is for the wrong operating system. Someone standing at a party has neither the patience nor the data allowance for a download.
So with Juqed nothing goes through a store. The guest interface is a web page: it opens in the browser every phone already has — Android and iPhone, old device and new.
Not every guest is standing next to you.
The QR code is the fastest route, not the only one. All three lead to the same interface.
The QR code
For everyone in the room. Camera on it, tap the prompt, done. Modern phones need no separate scanner app for this.
The guest link
For everyone still on their way. Send it by messenger, drop it in the group chat or AirDrop it — it opens the same page. Handy when people arrive in waves.
The six-digit code
For anyone whose scan will not catch. They open the guest page and type the code. The route that always works.
So you never have to hand your phone around.
The QR code on your screen works — but only while you are standing next to it. The moment the event outgrows a living room, the code belongs on a surface everyone can see.
- On the TV or projector. Screen mode puts the event code, the track playing and the requests coming up on a second display — see how it looks.
- Into the invitation group. Sending the guest link ahead of time means the first requests are already in the list before anyone arrives.
- On the device itself. In Juqed Go the event tab shows the code large enough to hold up — and the music keeps playing in the background once you pocket the phone again.
A name. Nothing else is asked for.
After the scan the page asks exactly one thing: a name to show beside their requests in the list. No email address, no password, no confirmation mail anyone has to wait for in the middle of a party.
From there the guest can request songs straight away and vote on everyone else's. They need no streaming subscription of their own — playback runs through your account.
The name they choose applies to this event only. It appears in neither the recap afterwards nor any export.

Do my guests need an app?
No, in none of the three editions. They scan a QR code, the browser opens, they pick a name. No download, no account, no cost – on any smartphone, Android or iPhone.
Does the QR code work on Android too?
Yes. The guest interface is an ordinary web page and runs in any current browser – Android, iPhone, iPad, laptop. There is deliberately no guest app that could shut an operating system out.
Does everyone have to be on the same Wi-Fi?
Not with Juqed Go or Juqed Web. Your guests can be on Wi-Fi or mobile data, mixed and changing through the event. Only Juqed for Mac needs a shared network – and in exchange it works with no internet at all.
What if someone's scan will not catch?
Then they type the six-digit event code on the guest page. Or you send them the guest link by messenger. All three routes lead to the same interface.
Can I invite guests before the event?
Yes. The guest link is valid as soon as the event exists. Send it to the invitation group ahead of time and the first requests are already in the list before anyone arrives.
Can a stranger join with the code?
Anyone holding the code or the link can join – that is the price of working without accounts. Which is why there is a blocklist, a limit per guest, and the option to remove any request. With Juqed Gold codes can be issued permanently, for a table card in a bar for instance.
