About me
Hi, I'm Michael.
Born in 1986, married and a proud father of a daughter – and on the road with music for over 25 years. How that passion first became Juqed for Mac and then Juqed Go.
Where it all comes from
Music was always there.
Music has been with me for almost my entire life. I'm one of those people who need music in nearly every situation – it's a hugely important part of my life, and I tie so many of my memories to it.
My first gig as a DJ was on New Year's Eve 1999/2000 – over 25 years ago. Since then I've been playing at private parties and venues around the Ruhr region.
The lesson behind the decks
The same problem, every time.
After so many nights behind the decks, I know it all too well: a playlist built in advance never matches everyone's taste. Pre-made sets may be perfect for festivals with tens of thousands of people – but not for a smaller event.
Sooner or later a song plays that nobody wanted to hear, and the mood dips. That's exactly the pattern I set out to solve.
Why Juqed exists
For my 40th birthday, I wanted to do it differently.
My guests should get to shape the music themselves. That's how Juqed for Mac came first, then Juqed Go for on the go: apps that let guests suggest songs via QR code and vote together – with no DJ dictatorship and no app install.
What I bring to it
Clear, functional, no ballast.
In my day job, I've led teams in customer service and process digitalisation for many years. As a state-certified business economist specialising in business informatics, I bring a feel for clear processes and functional solutions – and that flows straight into Juqed and Juqed Go: clear, functional, without unnecessary ballast.
I develop both apps as a solo entrepreneur on the side, working continuously on new features – based on real feedback from real parties and venues.
