Party Jukebox App Juqed Go: First Press Coverage and 100 Downloads

First press coverage for my party jukebox app
Some days just deliver twice. On October 5, 2026, the German Apple news site appgefahren.de published an article about Juqed Go. It's the first time my app has ever been covered by an editorial outlet, and I'm genuinely thrilled about it.
The piece tells the origin story pretty much as it happened. I've been DJing since New Year's Eve 1999, but for my own 40th birthday I didn't want to be the one choosing the music – I wanted my guests to decide. No existing app did it the way I had in mind, so I built one myself.
Hitting 100 downloads
As exciting as the article was, something else made me even happier: Juqed Go passed 100 downloads. For a big studio that's barely worth mentioning. For a solo developer building an app alongside a day job and a life in music, it's a real milestone. Every one of those downloads is someone willing to give a small, independent app a try – and probably a party where the guests got a say in the music.
To be fair, the article gave that 100th download a serious push. It's a good reminder of how much it helps when someone outside the project says: this is worth a look.
How Juqed Go works
If you've just discovered Juqed Go, here's the idea in short:
- The host's iPhone plays the music through Apple Music.
- Guests scan a QR code and request songs right in their phone's browser – no app to install and no account needed.
- Host and guests don't need to share a Wi-Fi network; mobile data works just fine.
- Guests vote on what plays next, and when the queue runs dry, the Auto-DJ keeps the music going.
If you want more, such as a custom cover image for your event or QR codes that never expire, you can upgrade to Juqed Gold.
Thank you – and on to the next one
A big thank you to the team at appgefahren.de and to everyone who has downloaded, tried and recommended Juqed Go so far. For me, 100 downloads isn't a finish line – it's a starting point. I'll keep working to make sure the music at your next party is exactly what your guests want to hear.
